Many people dislike their crooked teeth, but London dentists offer a number of solutions.

The first option is fixed braces as part of teeth straightening, these use wires and metal brackets to apply pressure, slowly moving teeth into a more desirable position.

Lingual braces are an option if you want the effectiveness of fixed braces without the obvious sight of them, these braces affix to the back of teeth and whilst they may take some getting used to are much more discreet.

The clear plastic aligners used in the Invisalign method are even less easy to spot, with no metal required you just change these every fortnight and they gradually shift your teeth without the need for highly visible braces.

Inman Aligners are a good compromise between traditional and ‘invisible’ braces.  Mainly clear but with a single metal bar visible at the front, they give quick results at a lower cost than Invisalign but can’t be seen as easily as metal braces.

Created to be ‘friction free’ so that they irritate less and can offer faster results, Damon braces are another widely offered solution.

6 Month Smiles at an experienced dentist with dental courses experience are a specialised product, essentially like metal wire braces but coloured to make them less visible against teeth, the system is also designed to give faster results by only moving those teeth which can be seen when you smile.

Veneers or ‘instant orthodontics’ seem an attractive dental job to many people. they not only straighten your smile but make it whiter too.  However, since they do not straighten teeth but affix to the front and this attachment means some of the natural tooth has to be removed they are not always the right way to go.
